This simple example file has three data matrices (categorical phenotypic data, DNA sequence, and morphometric data). You can move branches and trace characters, as in MacClade. This example was used to illustrate Mesquite's exchangeability of modules: first, alternative tree drawing modules were exchanged for the one drawing diagonal branches. Second, a likelihood reconstructor of ancestral states was substituted for the parsimony reconstructor shown.
