[Mesquitelist] importing tree for matrix

I have a matrix with X taxa. In order to run IC tests for the characters I need to import a tree. So, two questions:

1. How can I import a tree so that it is associated with my matrix?
2. Do I need to manually clip those taxa from the tree that are not in my matrix?


Any advice would be appreciated.
